Christy represents Texas at National Finals - January, 2008

The road to the finals began on May 19, 2007 where Christy won Houston's local competition sponsored by KKBQ at Day in the Country. Christy performed Martina McBride's "Anyway". (Photos)
On September 29, 2007 Christy won the Southeast Texas State Final held at the Lake Theatre in Lake Jackson, Texas. Christy performed Martina McBride's "Anyway" and Carrie Underwood's "So Small".
On October 27, 2007 Christy walked away with the title of Southwest Regional Final Winner and a chance to compete at the National Finals in Nashville, Tennessee. At the Sky City Casino in Acoma, New Mexico, Christy performed Martina McBride's "Anyway" and LeAnn Rime's "Nothing Better to Do".
On Thursday, January 24, 2008 Christy was a National Finalist at the 26th Annual Colgate Country Showdown at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. She was one of five regional winners from across the country. The National Final show was aired nationwide, over syndicated television in March and April, 2008.
