2005	With a top score of 40, Christy was named Winner of KPRC Houston's "Gimme the Mike". She received the grand prize, a Jeep Liberty Renegade from Ted Teague of Lawrence Marshall Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Christy received a two-song recording deal from Dan Workman at the legendary SugarHill Recording Studios, and Vocal Technique coaching from Tom McKinney Vocal Studios in Houston, Texas.
